How do I keep a browser recording safe?

The short answer

A local browser session is not a permanent recording library. Download a take you want to keep and verify that the file plays before closing or refreshing. Keeping clear names and backups prevents a finished performance from being lost among test recordings.

Try this workflow

  1. Download the completed take.
  2. Rename it with a song name and take number.
  3. Play the saved copy and keep another copy in your usual backup location.

What to check before you finish

Do not rely on an open tab as the only copy. Clearing browser data, reloading or closing the session can remove access to unsaved work. For a long performance, test the workflow with a short recording first.

A practical example

Use names such as song-take-01 and song-take-02 instead of leaving every file with the same generic download name. Open the saved file and check its ending before discarding the browser session. If a take is important, place another copy in your normal backup location while you still have the original at hand.

More questions

Can I recover an unsaved take after closing the page?

This version does not provide account-based recovery or cloud recording history. Save the download before ending the session.

Does browser caching replace a recording backup?

No. Model caching is different from saving your audio. Keep actual downloaded recordings in a location you control and back up important takes separately.
