Should I choose Fast AI or Quality AI?
The short answer
Fast AI uses a smaller model download and is the default starting point. Quality AI uses a larger model and can take longer. These names describe the available processing choices, not a guarantee that the slower option will sound better on every song.
Try this workflow
- Run a ten-second Fast AI preview.
- If important vocals remain or instruments sound damaged, preview the same part with Quality AI.
- Choose by listening before committing to a full-track process.
What to check before you finish
Compare at similar volume and include both a quiet passage and a chorus when possible. Browser speed depends on the device, available memory and threading support. A short preview gives a more relevant speed estimate than a promise based on another computer.
A practical example
On a laptop, try the same ten seconds with both AI modes before processing a seven-minute song. Notice download time separately from inference time. If the fast result is acceptable for rehearsal, use it now and reserve the slower option for a recording where the difference is worth waiting for.
More questions
How large are the downloads?
Fast AI downloads about 40 MB of models; Quality AI is about 166 MB. Your browser may cache them, but cache availability can change.
Must I download both models to use the website?
No. Use the chosen mode. The larger Quality AI download is only needed when you run that option, not for ordinary editing tools.
