A short preview is therefore a better first test than a long song. A file that fits the upload limit may still be too demanding for a particular phone.

Try this workflow

1. Open SurStudio in a normal browser tab and choose a short MP3 or WAV stored on your device. Avoid starting inside an embedded social-media browser.
2. Select Fast AI, keep the page in the foreground and wait for the model to load. Play a 10-second preview before running the whole file.
3. Download the completed output and verify it in your device file manager before leaving the page. For repeated failures, try a shorter recording or a desktop.

What to check before you finish

Phone browsers may suspend background work, release memory or reload a page. Switching apps during separation can interrupt progress. Closing unrelated tabs may help, but does not guarantee enough memory for a large recording. Battery-saving behaviour and thermal limits can also affect sustained work.

A practical example

If a three-minute track works but a twenty-minute rehearsal fails, test a short section from the rehearsal rather than repeatedly submitting the whole recording. Shortening an audio file reduces decoded memory as well as computation. Merely compressing the same long performance to a smaller MP3 does not reduce its decoded duration.

No app installation is required for the browser tools. Microphone-based tools still need browser permission, and format support varies.

Will the same track always finish equally fast?
