Choose whether to keep music or vocals
Video Vocal Remover can create a new MP4 using your original video and a separated audio output. Music only keeps the estimated instrumental and reduces the singer. Vocals only keeps the estimated vocal track and reduces the accompaniment. These are two different outputs, so preview the correct track before exporting.
This is useful for a karaoke video, a rehearsal clip or a vocal editing reference. Separation cannot guarantee perfect removal of reverb, backing vocals or overlapping instruments. Speech mixed with music can leave residue too. Use the result only where you have the necessary rights.
Import and preview your local video
Choose a video with sound and wait for its soundtrack to appear in the existing tools workspace. Select Fast AI for a short test, set the preview start to a busy section and choose Preview 10 seconds. Compare both the vocal and instrumental results using headphones.
A ten-second preview is an audio quality check. It does not produce a full-video MP4 download. When you are satisfied, run full separation. Keep the source video selected while processing so the finished soundtrack remains paired with the right picture.
Download a video without vocals
After full separation, find the Instrumental result and choose Download video · music only. SurStudio uses that result as replacement audio and creates an MP4. Wait for export to finish, preview the video and choose Save MP4 video.
The instrumental is an estimate of the accompaniment. Some lyrics or vocal reverb may remain. If you hear severe instrument damage, return to the source and compare another separation mode rather than exporting the same result repeatedly.
Download a video without background music
Beside the full Vocals result, choose Download video · vocals only. The new MP4 uses the extracted vocal soundtrack instead of the original mix. Preview it before saving so you can check remaining music, artifacts and timing.
Lead and backing vocals may be grouped together. The feature is not a guarantee of isolated speech in every recording, nor does it separately identify every instrument. For editing, you can download the vocal WAV too and keep it alongside the finished MP4.
Picture compatibility, timing and export speed
Compatible H.264 video with the required pixel format can retain its picture stream directly. Other video codecs may need H.264 re-encoding to make the MP4, which takes longer and can change compression. The original audio track is replaced by the selected separated result.
The export uses the source video duration and pads a shorter replacement soundtrack when needed. Try a short clip first and check the beginning and end after downloading. Large videos need extra device memory. If MP4 export cannot finish, keep the separated WAV and use it in a video editor instead.
